The present General Conditions of After-sales Service (ASS) shall be complemented by our General Conditions of Sales communicated on request. In these General Conditions, the terms given below will have the following meaning:
1. SHIPPING COSTS
The shipping cost of returning a product for whatsoever reason (out of order condition, defective material, etc…) is to be totally covered by the Customer.
Only if HEXINO makes a shipping mistake (wrong address or wrong product) the transport costs shall be reimbursed.
2. ORIGINAL LABELS ON THE PRODUCTS
The withdrawal and/or damage of the security labels automatically invalidates the guarantee of the products. In this case a possible repairing cost might be estimated and submitted to the Customer.
3. ORIGINAL PACKING
HEXINO shall not be held liable for products sent back to the ASS of HEXINO without its original packing or with any missing element , shall not be accepted for guarantee and shall be resent to the Customer postage due.
4. GUARANTEE PERIOD
Every article (except for the consumable ones) is guaranteed either by HEXINO or by the Manufacturer for a 12 months period following the invoice date except any specific agreement.
5. GUARANTEE EXCLUSION AND LIMITATIONS
The following situations are excluded from the guarantee:
- Shipping costs.
- Damages caused by handling mistakes, abusive or unusual use.
- Damages caused by use of power, electrical or electronic installations not in compliance with the requirements of the article, due to a mistaking plug connection or any other negligence.
- Damages out of HEXINO's control (floods, fires…).
- Manipulation of the product by a person not belonging to the ASS of HEXINO.
- Direct and/or consequential damages occurred to property as well as non-pecuniary loss due to the Product.
- Alteration of the internal components not fulfilling the specifications of the Manufacturer.
- The storage of data contained in the hardware articles or in the products (files, programs, media or other information)
- The whole line of the consumable products (such as batteries, reading head, cartridges, accessories).
6. REPLACEMENT DELAY
The delay to replace a defective product shall depend on the availability of the product and cannot precede an ASS agreement to replace the product
The return lead-time of HEXINO is about 60 days, following the reception of defective parts up to the shipping of the repaired product to the Customer.
HEXINO shall not be liable for any additional delay resulting from whatever external reason, including any supplier or transporter 's default.
HEXINO might inform its Customer of any possible delay. The Customer shall not be entitled to claim any damage for such a delay.
Repairing, altering or replacing a defective product during the guarantee period shall not extend the guarantee period.
7. RETURN PROCEDURES
To apply and benefit from the guarantee, the Customer shall ask the ASS of HEXINO for a return number (RMA) and the return address. Any product sent back to HEXINO without a return number will be resent back to the Customer postage due.
The RMA number only allows the Customer to send back the defective product to HEXINO and shall not constitute any admission of default.
HEXINO shall not be held liable for any compatibility problems between the product and the Customer's system.
The product shall be sent back to the ASS of HEXINO complete and in general good state and conditions, including its original packing and packaging, with no missing pieces, accessories, drivers, cables… Any returned product which would not fulfil those requirements will be sent back to the Customer postage due.
The Customer will have to send the defective products to HEXINO with the HEXINO ASS form filled in with the following information: article number, product description, quantity returned, invoice date, invoice number, ASS number and description of the problem.
The customer will also have to put a sticker with the ASS number on each defective product returned to the ASS of HEXINO.
If those requirements are not fulfilled, the defective products will not be repaired or exchanged and sent back to the Customer postage due.
